Music has been one of my deeply loved passions since high school. My older sister encouraged me to join my school's marching band and from there I got into playing in all sorts of ensembles from punk bands to jazz combos. With guitar and bass being my main instrument I have carried this love of music over to college where I got into media scoring and sound design.
In my third year of university I placed into the first class for the Electronic Music Minor where I learned about synthesis and audio production. From the minor I've picked up experiences with vintage synthesizers, studio recording, and digital audio manipulation, all of which has made it into my work outside of my academics.
My two biggest music projects throughout college have been my two bands 8-Bit Bloom and Daisy Circuit.
8-Bit Bloom was short lived but we still produced a high quality EP that we're all super proud of. As the band's lead guitarist, I got a lot of experience arranging or writing parts for myself as well as recording those parts for the EP.
Daisy Circuit is my current band. We're a five piece indie folk rock outfit that's bringing a distinct upbeat twang to the Santa Cruz music scene.
Film scoring has been a big interest for me for a while. I've worked on dozens of short films as a composer and mixer and have some more film projects lined up in the future. Here are some short films with scores I'm particularly proud of.
